Lessons From the Early Life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
An orphan
Every society has them.
One of the most vulnerable beings.
Someone who starts with nothing,
Dependent on the people around them.
They reveal the true values of the society they live in.
That was the case of our Prophet ﷺ, Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abdul-Muttalib.
His father passed away before knowing that his wife was expecting.
His mother passed away when he ﷺ was only six.
He ﷺ was then raised by his grandfather, and later by his uncle Abu Talib.
His life was no stranger to hardship.
But he ﷺ endured everything by the will of Allah, and became one of the most well-known people in history,
So much so that countless Muslims are named after him today.
He ﷺ is praised all around the world, constantly.
He ﷺ is proof that your beginnings don’t define your end.
That even if you start with nothing, Allah can raise you to a position beyond imagination.
Let’s look at a few moments from his early life that shaped who he was.

He ﷺ is proof that your beginnings don’t define your end.
That even if you start with nothing, Allah can raise you to a position beyond imagination.
Let’s look at a few moments from his early life that shaped who he was.
1) He ﷺ was raised by his uncle
But only after losing his father,
His mother at six,
And his grandfather at eight.
His uncle never abandoned him.
He raised him ﷺ with love,
And cared for him more than his own children.
It shows how Allah always places people in your path.
Even in loss, there is provision.
2) He ﷺ worked and traded with people
He worked to earn his sustenance.
From tending sheep
To trading in the caravans of Quraysh.
He ﷺ lived among the people he was sent to.
He knew their struggles.
His honesty, patience, and noble manners earned him the name Al-Ameen, the trustworthy.
Even before revelation, Allah was preparing him.

3) He ﷺ received the revelation
At forty, when the world was steeped in ignorance,
Allah chose him ﷺ to be the final Messenger.
He ﷺ went from an orphan with no power or wealth
To the one whose name is mentioned alongside Allah’s in every call to prayer.
Every loss, every moment of loneliness,
Was part of that divine plan.
It shows us that when Allah chooses you,
No circumstance can stop what He has written for you.
Even if you start with nothing.
Even if you have lost people you love.
Even if the world overlooks you.
Allah sees you.
Just like He saw a young orphan in Makkah
And raised him ﷺ to change the world.
If you ever feel small or unseen, remember: Allah’s plan is never random.
He raises whom He wills, when He wills.

Reflect on this story and record what Allah has already written for you with the Juz 30 Qur’an Journal.
Each page helps you connect revelation to your own life, see His plan in your journey, and strengthen your trust in Him.
May Allah raise your rank in this world and the next, and bless you with contentment in His decree always.
مع حبي (with love),
Eternah
